Detectives have accused William Rumsby Liverpool Paedophile of owning indecent photos of children. On Tuesday, 10 September, officers responded to a location in Knowsley and apprehended William Rumsby on suspicion of possessing obscene pictures of minors.
Two electronic devices were confiscated and discovered to contain indecent photographs and video files of minors.
William Rumsby, 73, of Stockbridge Village, has been charged with possession of indecent images of a child, three counts of producing indecent photographs of a child, and noncompliance with the sex offender registry.
William Rumsby attended Liverpool Magistrates Remand Court on Wednesday, 11 September, and has been remanded in custody until Wednesday, 9 October, for a hearing at Liverpool Crown Court.
Detective Inspector Graeme Kehoe said, “If you have experienced any form of sexual abuse or know of a child being abused, please come forward and report this to police.
“We take all such reports extremely seriously, and if you can find the courage to come forward and speak to us, we have specially trained officers who will treat you with sensitivity and compassion.”
