Having spiked a woman’s drink, hauled her to his hotel room, and raped her, a 39-year-old man, Siyabonga Dunga Holbeck Rapist, has been imprisoned for 18 years.

Following a British Transport Police Investigation branded Operation Milkwort, Siyabonga Dunga, of Sweet Street, Holbeck, Leeds, was found guilty of committing an offence to commit a sexual offence, rape, kidnap and administering a substance with intent by a jury at Leeds Crown Court on Friday 19 April.

Today, Thursday, 13 June, he was imprisoned for eighteen years; he also has to sign the sex offenders register indefinitely.

The court heard how Siyabonga Dunga handed the woman a drink at the Back Room Bar in Leeds early on Saturday, 21 January 2023, and then she started to get confused and disoriented quite shortly after.

Siyabonga Dunga helped the woman outside to get some air and, in an attempt to distance her from her friend, encouraged the friend to return to the club, informing her the woman had left her phone inside under the guise of helping her.

He carried the woman’s phone in his pocket.

Siyabonga Dunga took the woman, who could barely walk alone, back to a neighbouring hotel while the companion was inside seeking the phone.

Siyabonga Dunga pulled the victim back to his room, where he conducted the rape; CCTV from the hotel showed her falling and losing consciousness.
