The judiciary has incarcerated a convicted child molester, Simon Bright Orford Paedophile, for engaging in explicit online conversations with an individual whom he thought to be a minor.

Simon Bright was under the impression that he was engaging in sexual communication with a girl who was 12 years old.

The 50-year-old individual participated in repugnant correspondence with the girl, expressing his desire to become her romantic partner and engage in a shared showering experience.

However, he was engaging in conversation with an adult who was using a fake online identity to identify and expose individuals who have a sexual attraction towards minors.

Simon Bright is accused of trying to initiate sexual conversations with a minor and encouraging a minor to participate in sexual activities.

Max Saffman presented the prosecution’s case to Chester Crown Court on Tuesday, July 25. He detailed how the offences took place during four days from August 25 to 28 of the previous year.

Simon Bright confessed, by pleading guilty to the accusation, to deliberately trying to communicate with a 12-year-old girl to seek sexual satisfaction.

The individual enquired about the girl’s relationship status and expressed interest in becoming her boyfriend. Additionally, he expressed a desire to join her in the shower.

Simon Bright requested images from her, enquired about her romantic interest in him, and asked to engage in sexually explicit conversations.

Furthermore, the accused actively incited the ‘minor’ to engage in a sexual act and captured photographic evidence of herself doing so to send it to him.

Simon Bright, a resident of Poplars Avenue in Orford, admitted guilt for both offences and received a 28-month prison sentence from Judge Simon Berkson.

In addition, he was mandated to comply with sex offender registration and notification obligations for ten years, as well as a sexual harm prevention order for the same period.

Furthermore, the court authorised an order for the confiscation and destruction of his mobile phone, which was confiscated by law enforcement.
