Shaleem Nazish exchanged child pornography in a depraved group conversation despite being subjected to a police inquiry.
The paedophile asserted that he was engaged in listening to a podcast when law enforcement raided his residence and confiscated his phone in March 2019.
Shaleem Nazish informed authorities that he was “attempting to pause the recording,” however he was, in fact, endeavouring to conceal his actions after downloading 6,471 illicit photographs.
While on bail, the 24-year-old disseminated child rape videos in a group chat and “publicly deliberated on the sexual abuse of children”.
However, he was unaware that he was conversing with an undercover police officer.
Shaleem Nazish, residing on Allen Street, Warrington, confessed to three charges of downloading and three charges of disseminating indecent photos of children, in addition to one charge of holding forbidden images of children.
Shaleem Nazish, with analogous prior offences from 2016, was sentenced to two and a half years of incarceration.
