Saif Iqbal Met Police accused of sexually assaulting two women

Allegations of sexual assault by two female coworkers have a Metropolitan Police officer alleged sex offender Saif Iqbal set for trial next summer, 2025.

Between October 2020 and November 2021, PC Saif Iqbal, 28, is accused of sexually touching the two ladies several times.

On Wednesday, Saif Iqbal showed up at Harrow Crown Court, sitting at Hendon Magistrates Court to enter a not-guilty plea to seven counts of sexual assault.

Judge John Lodge put off the matter to a trial scheduled for June 9, next year.

“I feel bad enough about having to offer a trial date 11 months hence,” he added, justifying the delay. “That is the first trial date we currently have available.

“We have to save an element of trial slots for custody cases because of the statutory duty to try them within the custody time limits; hence, bail cases inevitably can be sometimes pushed back.”

First showing in court to face the criminal charges at Westminster Magistrates Court in June, Saif Iqbal is a Met’s Northwest Command Unit member.

Scotland Yard stated breaking news of the case: “Charges relate to two women and took place between October 2020 and November 2021 while the officer was both on and off duty.”

“Neither woman is a police officer.” [Editor’s Note: And?]

Saif Iqbal has been off from work while the criminal case is in progress.

On bond, he was let free under a condition not to interact with any of the women accusing him.

Saif Iqbal contests seven allegations of intentional touching-based sexual assault.
