Roger Allen, a Sheffield Paedophile, has been incarcerated for subjecting a youngster to years of “horrific” sexual abuse.

Paedophile Roger Allen, a resident of Sheffield, admitted guilt to 16 acts related to child sexual exploitation, encompassing multiple charges of rape and possession of child pornography.

The victim of the 60-year-old, whose identity is protected for legal reasons, disclosed the abuse after enduring it for years.

South Yorkshire Police conducted a search of Roger Allen’s residence and discovered indecent photographs and recordings of minors that he had produced, including an extreme pornographic image.

Det Con Jason Earl said: “It cannot be underestimated the significant toll that child sexual abuse has on victims – it irreparably changes a child’s life.

“Roger Allen took full advantage for his own disgraceful sexual criminality.

“It is my belief that had [the victim] not come forward when they did, Roger Allen’s serious sexual abuse would likely have continued.”

He said Roger Allen had shown “little to no remorse or acknowledgment for the pain and suffering he has caused.”

Roger Allen, formerly of Abbey Brook Gardens, pleaded guilty at Sheffield Crown Court and was jailed for 20 years. He has also been placed on the Sex Offenders Register.
