Two men, Radian Cojorcaru & Gabriel Bejinariu Rapists, who sexually assaulted a lady near a Sutton alleyway in the middle of the day have been sentenced to a combined more than thirty years in jail.
Both, Radian Cojorcaru & Gabriel Bejinariu, having no fixed residence, Radian Cojorcaru, 32, and Gabriel Bejinariu, 20, were found guilty of raping a lady on October 14, 2018.
Gabriel Bejinariu was found guilty following a trial at Croydon Crown Court in April 2019 after pleading not guilty to rape.
Run consecutively, he was sentenced to twelve years for aiding and abetting rape and five years for rape. Additionally, running concurrently, he received a four-year term for attempted rape.
After pleading guilty to rape and aiding and abetting rape, Radian Cojorcaru was sentenced to twelve years in prison and two years on licence.
The court listened to Radian Cojorcaru & Gabriel Bejinariu meet at Victoria Coach Station on October 14, 2018.
The following day, they went to the Carshalton neighbourhood and then attacked a 53-year-old woman approaching an alleyway close to Shorts Road, Carshalton, around 3 pm.
Seeing what was happening, a public member confronted Radian Cojorcaru & Gabriel Bejinariu and then pursued them.
However, officials showed Radian Cojorcaru was held on the roof of a nearby house’s car port. On October 15, 2018, Cojocaru was detained and accused.
Following his identification on CCTV footage at the coach station, Gabriel Bejinariu was detained one week later. He was charged two days following his arrest on October 21, 2018.
