An individual, Pryderi Tomos Caernarfon Paedophile, who is listed on the sex offender registry viewed explicit photographs of minors being subjected to abuse on his mobile device despite being aware of the presence of surveillance software on the device. Pryderi Tomos, a sick individual without a permanent residence but previously from Waunfawr in Gwynedd, saw videos of little girls, some as young as six, being subjected to maltreatment.
Pryderi Tomos, a 35-year-old individual, was incarcerated in 2017 following the discovery of children’s pants on his bed and a significant collection of inappropriate images and videos involving minors on his computer devices. According to prosecutor Laura Knightly, the individual was freed in October 2021. As part of their bail conditions, software was installed on their mobile phone on February 16, 2022, as stated at Caernarfon Crown Court today.
Despite being aware of the surveillance of his online activities, Pryderi Tomos continued to view explicit videos on the internet. According to the court proceedings, it was revealed that he had considered a significant number of videos in February depicting underage females participating in sexual acts with adult males.
One of the videos lasted about 60 minutes, and Pryderi Tomos watched several parts multiple times. According to Ms Knightly, the tracking software revealed that Pryderi Tomos had viewed inappropriate content on 19 different occasions during a time frame of slightly over 24 hours.
The police apprehended Pryderi Tomos, and two mobile phones were confiscated. During the interview, he asserted that he had recently viewed pornography only involving adult individuals.
An examination conducted by forensic experts revealed that he had viewed movies containing minors and had additionally captured and stored screenshots from those recordings. According to Ms. Knightly, the photographs primarily depicted underage girls ranging in age from six to 15 years old.
John Wyn Williams, the defence attorney, stated that his client is fully aware of the consequences he will face in court. Tomos was experiencing discernible mental health disorders and promptly confessed his culpability once permitted by the court.
“He is desperately seeking assistance,” Mr. Williams stated. “Although I would prefer to receive mental health services and probation, I acknowledge that, at present, I will have to serve a prison sentence.”
Judge Nicola Saffman, in her ruling, handed down a lengthy prison sentence of five years and seven months. She emphasised the need to take into account the young age and fragility of the children seen in the recordings, who were subjected to rape and abuse. It is distressing to note that some of these children were as young as five years old and were even victimised while they were asleep.
“One of these videos features a child who was subjected to a 38-minute long act of sexual assault.” The children seen in these videos are authentic and genuine victims in this context. Individuals such as yourself who consume these morally corrupt videos are essentially contributing to a market where rape and its documentation occur.
Judge Saffman issued an order to destroy the devices confiscated by the police. She emphasised to the court that Pryderi Tomos is already registered as a lifelong sex offender due to prior convictions.
