Johnathan Clayton paedophile child sex offender

Former teacher Johnathan Clayton has been found guilty of many sexual attacks on young girls at a primary school.

Johnathan Clayton was convicted of 13 counts of sexual assault on children under the age of 13 following a trial at Teesside Crown Court.

The 27-year-old, Johnathan Clayton, who refuted the allegations, left the children feeling “uncomfortable” and was described as “weird” and “creepy” by one victim.

The attacks were carried out at a school outside the Teesside area, which cannot be named for legal reasons.

Johnathan Clayton had faced previous sex assault allegations in 2017, which were dropped, and the school where the offences took place were unaware of the allegations when they employed him.

Prosecutors said Johnathan Clayton, of Carlton, Stockton, had a sexual interest in young girls and that the assaults were “momentary and opportunistic” and done for his sexual gratification.

Police said he was a “very manipulative individual” who used his trusted position to touch vulnerable girls in “an extremely worrying pattern of behaviour”.
