John Price allegedly perpetrated the crimes across ten years, between 2011 and 2022. Charged with 18 charges, the 71-year-old appeared before Recorder Ben Williams at Shrewsbury Crown Court on Monday.
Four counts of rape, four counts of sexually assaulting a kid under thirteen, three counts of encouraging a child under thirteen to participate in sexual conduct, and three more sexual assaults, along with two charges of voyeurism, comprised the charges.
The court heard that the charges concerned three victims.
Living close to Kelso in Scotland, Price was also accused of three charges of possessing around 200 obscene photos of children.
He answered not guilty to all eighteen accusations.
Retired as a police sergeant 24 years ago, Price was given conditional release before a subsequent hearing scheduled for November and a five-day trial planned to start on July 21 next year.
