Predatory rapist John Phillips, who preyed on children as young as three, was summoned back to court following the emergence of a new victim.

The paedophile, John Phillips, manipulated his victims through the provision of gifts and money, while also employing violence and intimidation to ensure their silence.

In 2018, he was incarcerated for 22 years following his conviction for the rape and sexual assault of eight youngsters.

However, another individual, who had multiple assaults and rapes by John Phillips from the age of three until around fourteen, did not feel empowered to come forward until after the conclusion of that case.

John Phillips was re-investigated by Cheshire Police and charged with nine counts of rape, several of which included numerous instances.

The individual, now 50 years old, was charged with one crime of attempted rape, six charges of indecent assault, and two counts of child indecency.

John Phillips, residing in Winsford after his initial arrest and having connections to Widnes and Runcorn, confessed to all the charges.

He received an additional seven years in prison, bringing the total to 29 years, of which he must serve a minimum of two-thirds in confinement.
