Police are searching for a convicted sex offender who “can present as a female”. Jason Whiteoak, who has convictions for serious sexual assault and robbery, has gone missing after being recalled to prison.
The 52-year-old, who lives in Selby, has links to Humberside, Sussex, the North East and London and was last seen on CCTV in Cambridge town centre on Monday.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Whiteoak, who can present as female under the name Karla, has also been known by a number of other names.”
The force is urging anyone who sees Whiteoak to call 999.
