A sex offender, James Dunham, has evaded capture following his conviction for persuading a minor under the age of 16 to participate in sexual activities.
James Dunham, 33, fled from Lewes Crown Court on Thursday after acknowledging the allegation.
Sussex Police announced that Dunham, a landscape gardener from Eastbourne, East Sussex, was granted bail and instructed to remain at the courthouse to confer with his lawyers regarding the issue.
James Dunham has not been observed since that time.
The police lodged an appeal in December following his failure to appear at trial.
James Dunham, last residing at Albert Parade in Eastbourne, is Caucasian, 5 feet 10 inches tall, of medium build, with green eyes and short brown hair.
James Dunham possesses connections to the Uckfield region.
