Serial sexual predator Ian Patton, already incarcerated for acts against minors, has been sentenced once more for preying on two additional young victims. He was a “deeply ingrained sex offender” who was “incapable of suppressing the sexual impulses that overwhelmed him” and he “presented himself as innocuous” before to victimising the girls.
Ian Patton, 36, of Bacheler Street, off Anlaby Road, west Hull, refuted five charges of assaulting a child under 13, involving two females, as well as an additional charge of inducing a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity; however, he was found guilty by a jury following a trial.
Ian Patton, who was out on bail, was sentenced to eight years in prison after being classified as a “dangerous” criminal due to his prior convictions for sexual offences. He will be granted an extended licence for five years upon his release from prison. He received an indefinite sexual harm prevention order and will be required to register as a sex offender indefinitely.
