Glen Edwards Wrexham Paedophile, A world champion Taekwondo teacher who manipulated and sexually abused young boys has been imprisoned.
Monday, July 29, Glen Edwards, of Victoria Road in Wrexham, was sentenced at Mould Crown Court by video connection from prison to six years and ten months.
Having admitted numerous more at an earlier hearing, the 32-year-old was convicted guilty by a jury of several child sex crimes.
They included sexual conduct with young boys, encouraging young boys to participate in sexual activity, sexual exploitation of a kid and making a young lad view photograph of sexual activity.
Glen Edwards was also accused of possessing obscene photos of youngsters and of having sexual conversations with one of them.
From January 2018 to May 2021, the offences were carried out against eight victims.
Before continuously requesting images in return, Glen Edwards would add the youngsters on social media, where he would ask sexual questions and send sexually graphic pictures of himself to them.
Others were invited to his house; he would offer lifts to some and purchase their food and gifts.
Glen Edwards sexually attacked some of his victims in his automobile.
One of the lads declined to meet him after one of the assaults, so Glen Edwards messaged him, informing him he knew where he lived.
Glen Edwards once more bought some pants for two boys following their shopping trip.
Glen Edwards’ actions in May 2021 came under notice by police following a youngster’s worries about him to another adult.
January 2023 saw him charged at last:
- Sexual activity with a child x3
- Causing or inciting a child to engage in a sexual act x3
- Causing a child to watch a sex act x2
- Sexual communication with a child x5
- Causing or inciting child prostitution or pornography
- Possession of indecent images of children x4
- Possession of prohibited images of children
Apart from the jail term, Glen Edwards was compelled to register as a lifetime sex offender and received a sexual harm avoidance order.
He also received a lifelong restraining order covering all eight victims.
Examining officer Detective Constable Vicky Bates, said: “Glen Edwards is a manipulative sex offender who knew each of his victims were minor.
“Every youngster engaged has suffered dramatically; some of them have experienced significant trauma from their activities.
“I want to thank them for their bravery in disclosing what happened to them and for challenging Glen Edwards in court, thereby bringing him to justice.
“Any victim of sexual abuse should come forward safe in the knowledge that we will do all in our ability to pursue offenders.”
