Following a trial at Chester Crown Court concluding on Wednesday, June 14, Alpraham Paedophile Georgia Bilham was found guilty of sexual assault by kissing. She was found not guilty of sixteen more sex crimes.
The CPS said Georgia Bilham, 21, of Bunbury Road, Alpraham, Cheshire, purposefully misled the other woman into believing she was a guy known as George Parry from Birmingham.
The two started chatting on Snapchat several years ago. Georgia Bilham had the profile name “George_132” and a cartoon image of a blonde man with sunglasses associated with that profile.
She and the victim were in touch; Georgia Bilham presented as “George” online and in person.
Georgia kept her hood up, dressed, spoke like a boy, and took off the victim’s spectacles when the two would get together. The sufferer is practically blind without her spectacles and has great nearsightedness. Georgia insisted on her victim not touching areas of her body that would have proved she was not a guy.
According to the CPS, the sexual conduct engaged in was under false pretence and so lacked genuine consent. Georgia Bilham tricked the victim into believing she was a young male. There is unclear motivation for the deception.
After Georgia Bilham and the victim had been out driving together on May 11, 2021, the automobile veered off the road. The automobile found itself locked. Georgia fretted and instructed the victim to go; clearly, there was a chance her actual identity might come to light.
However, when the police arrived and spoke with Georgia in their car, the victim overheard them mention Georgia Bilham—the name on her driving licence. She faced Georgia Bilham. “Are you a Girl?” Bilham said, “It’s a fake licence cos I don’t have one – that’s why I told you to run.”
Georgia Bilham put great effort in the following days, convincing her victim she was a guy. When Georgia met the victim’s mother, who showed suspicion and lacked the victim’s sight issues, the dishonesty at last surfaced. She confronted her daughter with her uncertainties, and the victim searched the internet to learn more about Georgia Bilham.
On August 19, 2021, the victim told Georgia Bilham, “Just admit you’ve been caught out. I know more than enough now.” Georgia Bilham messaged the victim the following day, apologised for what she had done and declared, “It just took over my life.”
The matter was reported to the police. Under police caution, Georgia Bilham was detained and questioned. She said, “No comment” to every query.
On July 19, Chester Crown Court will sentence Georgia Bilham.
Senior Crown Prosecutor Mairead Neeson of CPS Mersey Cheshire’s Rape and Serious Sexual Offences (RASSO) team said: “Sexual offences can be committed in different ways.” She is a specifically trained prosecutor.
Here, the case of the Crown Prosecution Service was founded on dishonesty, manipulation, and lack of genuine consent. We stated that the victim had been misled and that she had not given her actual permission to engage in sexual activity with Georgia Bilham; when she agreed to have sex with “George Parry,” it was because George was male rather than female.
“We stated that Georgia Bilham’s acts in passing for a man deprived the victim of her freedom to decide whether or not to have sex.
“This is so because someone agrees to sexual engagement only if they so want and have the freedom and competence to make that decision.
The victim believed she was having intercourse with a male. She would not have agreed to the activity if she had realised the man she was supposed to be, George Parry, was a woman.
“This has crushed the victim and her family; the consequences will stay with her for an extended period. Though it was all falsehoods, and Georgia Bilham is now a convicted sex offender, the victim believed she was in a romantic relationship with a man.
