Edward Stanton was found guilty of sexually assaulting an eighth victim at a deplorable children’s home in Formby.
The paedophile sexually assaulted and abused minors under his supervision at the notorious St Vincent’s home from 1976 to 1995.
The former housemaster, Edward Stanton, was sentenced to 13 years in prison in 1996 for sexual offences against seven boys, aged 10 to 13.
The 69-year-old appeared in Liverpool Crown Court this week after being convicted of two additional sexual assaults last month involving an eighth victim.
They pertained to a 13-year-old child whom he indecently attacked twice in the early 1980s, resulting in lasting psychological trauma for the victim.
Edward Stanton, previously residing in Kirkdale and now located on Earle Road, Wavertree, asserted that another individual was accountable for the abuse.
However, the jury was convinced that he was responsible for the child’s suffering from depression, relational difficulties, and feelings of shame.
Edward Stanton was incarcerated for three and a half years.
