Dean Marroni, A sexual predator who sat beside a 14-year-old girl on a seaside bench before to attacking her has been incarcerated. Authorities report that Dean Marroni had a dialogue with his young victim before to executing his ‘disturbing’ action.
A girl fled from the bench on Sandylands Promenade in Morecambe, Lancashire, after the assault on the afternoon of September 3. As she fled from the 34-year-old assailant, she paused to capture a photograph of him on her phone.
Lancashire Police reported that officers successfully apprehended Dean Marroni at his residence shortly thereafter. Dean Marroni, residing on Marine Road East in Morecambe, entered a guilty plea for the sexual assault of a female at Preston Crown Court.
He has now been jailed for five months and made subject of a sexual harm prevention order for 10 years. Dean Marroni was also made subject of sex offenders notification requirements, which allow him to be monitored following his release.
Detective Constable Zoe Hall, of Lancaster CID, said: “This was a disturbing sexual assault on a teenage girl and we are pleased that Dean Marroni has been sentenced and made subject of notification requirements. We take all reports of sexual assault very seriously and will investigate them thoroughly.”
