Daniel Wide Llanishen Rapist

Paedophile Daniel Wide, 33, from Llanishen, has received a sentence of 15 years, comprising 10 years of incarceration and five years of extended supervision.

He admitted guilt to rape and sexual assault by penetration and received his sentence at Cardiff Crown Court on Tuesday, April 8.

Detective Constable Wehab Mohamed of South Wales Police stated:

“Daniel Wide’s actions have had the most devastating impact on the victim who has been so brave in speaking out, contacting police, and going through the criminal justice process.

“Her evidence and our commitment to this investigation resulted in two guilty pleas.

“We hope the outcome brings some comfort to the victim and allows her to begin the process of regaining her confidence.”
