An individual with a sexual attraction towards children, Colin Dean Histon Paedophile, has been sentenced to prison for engaging in sexual acts with a young male over five years, which occurred over four decades ago.

Colin Dean, aged 58, committed acts of indecent assault against the youngster between the period of 1980 to 1985 in various locations within the Cambridgeshire area.

Colin Dean’s transgressions were discovered in July 2021.

Colin Dean, residing at Orchard Road, Histon, was sentenced to a four-year imprisonment on Friday (16 August) at Cambridge Crown Court. This verdict was reached after a jury found him guilty at a previous hearing of four charges of indecently assaulting a boy under the age of 14, as well as four charges of encouraging a boy under the age of 14 to engage in a highly inappropriate act.

Detective Sergeant Mark Williamson stated that Colin Dean exploited the youngster to engage in sexual abuse, making it a positive development that he has been incarcerated. I express my gratitude to the victim for his courageous act of coming forward and demonstrating resilience throughout the inquiry and subsequent judicial proceedings.

“Colin Dean’s conviction is a testament to the victim’s bravery.”
