Two offences were committed against one youngster, while four were perpetrated against the other boy.

During the 2013 sentencing, Judge Guy Anthony characterised his acts as a “gross breach of trust” and recounted how his victims had endured “life-long problems.”

He stated, “Regrettably, it reveals that your character possesses dual aspects, and it is the more sinister facet that has led you to this moment.”

Christopher Robin Jarvis, residing on Dukes Drive in Eastbourne, taught at the institution – which boasts graduates such as Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby and Falklands hero Colonel Herbert Jones – from 1962 to 1980.

Christopher Robin Jarvis targeted eleven boys aged ten to fourteen until 1976 before enrolling at Bede’s Prep School in Eastbourne in 1982.

He continued at the prestigious independent school until charges regarding his behaviour at St Peter’s emerged in October 2012.

A representative for Bede’s previously informed The Argus that he was suspended immediately, and shortly thereafter, his employment was terminated.

She stated that there was no indication of misconduct at the institution.

The incidents occurred throughout a span from 1964 to 1976, during which Mr. Jarvis served as a teacher at the Seaford school, with all victims being students of the institution.

After the closing of St Peters in 1982, Jarvis taught at Bede’s School in Eastbourne; however, there is no evidence indicating any additional assaults during this period.
