Police are urgently looking for a man after a woman was raped in a house in Birkdale, Southport. Merseyside Police confirmed it received a report on Sunday, May 19, that a woman had been the victim of rape by a man at a property in the area.
Forensic, CCTV and witness enquiries are ongoing and detectives have now issued an image as part of the work to find the person responsible. The photo, taken from CCTV inside a shop, shows the man wearing a black Under Armour cap, a black jumper, three-quarter length denim shorts with grey socks and white trainers.
The man is also holding cans of beer and appears to have a tattoo on his right leg. Detective Constable Samantha Jennings said: “We think the man pictured may be able to help as we move forward with this serious investigation. If you recognise him, please come forward as soon as possible.”
