A Transgender Paedophile, Bex McCullgh, from North Somerset has received a four-year jail term, with an additional four years to be served on parole, subsequent to an investigation by the South West Regional Organised Crime Unit (SWROCU).
Bex McCullgh, 25, from Backwell, was apprehended in October 2024 after coming to Bristol to meet a someone she believed to be a young boy. Instead, she was apprehended by authorities from the SWROCU, indicted, and detained in detention.
On Monday, February 10, she entered a guilty plea at Bristol Crown Court for arranging or enabling the commission of a child sex offence, attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child, and attempting to induce or inspire a child to participate in sexual conduct.
The judge imposed an extended term of eight years on Bex McCullgh, consisting of four years in custody and four years on extended license. She must serve at least two-thirds of her sentence prior to petitioning for parole.
Bex McCullgh was subjected to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) and was placed on the Sex Offender Register, both for an unlimited duration.
DI David Wells from SWROCU stated: “The sentence imposed on Bex McCullgh signifies the danger she presented to children and, in conjunction with the indefinite order, will assist in averting her recidivism upon her eventual release.”
