Two Lambeth facility home workers, Bernard Collins & Patrick Grant , from two children’s homes have been imprisoned for mistreating and sexually abusing boys as young as 10.
Worcester Road, Sutton’s 73-year-old Bernard Collins was convicted of five charges of indecent assault. On Tuesday, April 23, 2019, he was imprisoned for four years.
Ten charges of indecent assault were proven against another Cardiff house worker, Patrick Grant, 69, of Partridge Road. April 11 saw him imprisoned for eight years.
Three boys under Bernard Collins & Patrick Grant ‘s custody at Lambeth, Kingston, and Cardiff were the targets of the abuse.
The court heard during the trial that three boys aged between 10 and 13 were mistreated under local authority and resident care at Fircroft Children’s Home, Kingston, Rowan House, Shirley Oaks Children’s Home, Lambeth and Walker House Children’s Home, Llanishen, South Wales.
