A sexual predator Ruckinge Paedophile, Alan Morris, is back in prison after attempting to engage youngsters in sexual conduct online while under court supervision.
In February 2024, Alan Morris, formerly of Poundhurst Lane, Ruckinge near Ashford, used an online chat site to send sexually explicit messages, including photographs of himself, to someone he thought was a kid. Morris indicated in his chats that he was 65 and transmitted sexually explicit movies to his internet target.
Prevention Order
The talks violated a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) imposed to Alan Morris in 2018 after he was convicted guilty of earlier offences. The court order prohibited him from accessing the internet without telling the authorities, using devices without specific monitoring software, and engaging in a variety of other online activities.
Investigation
Alan Morris was arrested on 8 February 2024 after an investigation by Kent Police’s Paedophile Online Investigation Team (POLIT) revealed indecent photographs of minors and recent sexual conversation on his mobile phone. He was charged later that day.
Alan Morris pleaded guilty to attempted sexual communication with a kid, as well as producing and distributing obscene photos of a child.
He also admitted attempting to cause a girl to engage in sexual activity, attempting to cause a child to look at sexual activity, and attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child – all of which are related to offences discovered by POLIT in October 2023, when Morris believed he was communicating with a child.
Jailed
Alan Morris was sentenced to six years in prison on Monday, July 1, including a year for breaching a SHPO, with four years to serve on licence after his release.
