An individual, Dean Yates Reading Paedophile, who engages in child sexual exploitation has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for coercing a 13-year-old girl into sending explicit images and a 15-year-old girl into engaging in inappropriate physical contact.
Dean Yates, residing on Oxford Road in Reading, was convicted at Reading Crown Court on Monday (July 31) for nine offences: producing a pornographic image of a minor, engaging in sexual activity with a 15-year-old girl on two occasions, physically assaulting a female on two occasions, persuading a 15-year-old girl to engage in sexual activity on two occasions, and coercing a female to engage in sexual activity on two occasions.
Judge Emma Nott imposed a 20-year extended term, including a 15-year jail sentence, on the 34-year-old individual, considering the gravity of the crimes committed.
The incidents occurred in 2019 when Yates was around 30 years of age. According to the court proceedings, Dean Yates engaged in the act of unauthorised access to the social media accounts of young girls to acquire their private photographs. He then used these photographs to coerce the girls into providing him with additional pictures.
Dean Yates would assume a false identity, using his real name and a pseudonym to appear younger than his actual age when communicating with girls online.
The initial accusations pertain to a 13-year-old girl. Dean Yates illicitly gained access to a 15-year-old boy’s account and assumed his identity to manipulate the girl into sharing private images with him.
Subsequently, he coerced the girl using the original images, compelling her to transmit additional ones.
During her conversation with the police, the girl expressed that she had sent him a picture with the intention of causing him to leave.
“Subsequently, he sent a message threatening to disclose the picture to my parents and publicise it on social media unless I provided him with additional content.”
“Therefore, I forwarded him several additional photographs.” He stated his intention to dispatch them to my acquaintances, but I was uncertain about the appropriate action. I refrained from sending him any messages, anticipating the situation would deteriorate further.
The 15-year-old boy, who was the account’s true owner, was arrested and interrogated by the police until it was discovered that a hacker had compromised his account.
Subsequently, Dean Yates was apprehended, and a female individual was interrogated regarding her engagement with the accused.
She disclosed that Dean Yates had illicitly accessed her account, acquired her images, and extorted her under a false identity.
Subsequently, he coerced her into a face-to-face encounter and compelled her to participate in sexual acts, all the while feigning that the ‘alias’ account was also extorting him.
A trial reveals that a drug dealer was abducted and confined due to a narcotics debt of £100,000.
During the court proceedings, the 15-year-old girl expressed in her victim impact statement that she experiences feelings of “fear and distress” when contemplating Dean Yates. She also stated that she was “too young” to handle the situation then.
In addition, Dean Yates will be subjected to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).
