David Quick Walton Paedophile is out of prison and looking for a young child to film covertly. David Quick, a resident of Walton, concealed his cell phone with its camera directed towards the victim.
According to the proceedings at Chelmsford Crown Court, the 53-year-old man was apprehended when she noticed the camera lens of the Samsung device protruding from the upper part of a washbag.
In January 2019, David Quickwas confronted by the victim when she saw a nude photograph of herself on his phone.
Richard Potts, the prosecutor, stated that David Quick was apprehended on the same day, and law enforcement officials subsequently analysed his phone as part of the inquiry.
The prosecutor reported the discovery of 55 Category B indecent photographs of children and a minimum of 40 Category C indecent images. Among these, at least 14 pictures and one video depicted the victim.
The disturbing content had been imported into various applications on his mobile device and deleted from his camera roll to conceal them.
The victim’s mother described David Quick’s offences as “meticulous, deliberate, and cunning”, emphasising that he wrongfully appropriated something that did not belong to him, employing deceitful tactics.
David Quick, residing at Saville Street, Walton, pleaded guilty to two counts of voyeurism, capturing indecent photos of a minor and possessing both category B and C indecent images of a minor.
On Tuesday afternoon in 2023, he was sentenced to 18 months in jail.
A victim’s statement presented in court provided a comprehensive account of how the youngster has been experiencing recurring nightmares as a result of the traumatic experience.
She expressed her nervousness and apprehension about leaving her house, primarily due to the possibility of encountering the individual responsible for the crime.
“I struggle with sleep due to recurring nightmares involving the perpetrator of a crime, including one where an unknown individual kidnaps me.”
As a mitigator, Steven Levy said that the defendant had requested him to clarify and apologise to the victim and their family for his actions.
David Quick was issued a ten-year sexual harm prevention order.
