Convicted of sexual assault, Sex Offender Roger Steele of Washington Street, Kidderminster, was sentenced at Caernarfon Crown Court yesterday ( Wednesday, April 10, 2024).
Sent to prison for eight years, the 49-year-old was also subject to an indefinite sexual harm prevention order.
Though the victim complained in December 2021, the event occurred between 2007 and 2008.
Roger Steele had driven the victim to his house, where she thought she was seeing someone else, after approaching her in Rhyl as she knew him.
Nobody else was in the house when she got there.
Roger Steele sexually harassed the victim within fifteen minutes. He shoved her to the floor and pinned her down as she struggled to flee, then tried to take down both his own and her trousers.
She effectively battled him off and fled, but if she informed anybody what had happened, Steele threatened her with violence.
She felt safe enough to report the incident after she found that Roger Steele had been found guilty of another felony.
Roger Steele was also given an indefinite restraining order forbade from getting in touch with the victim.
