Ross Davidson paedophile rapist sex offender Finchley

Following a Met inquiry, a sexual predator, Ross Davidson Finchley Paedophile, who recorded his sex crimes has been found guilty by a court. On Thursday, 25 July, at Wood Green Crown Court, Ross Davidson, 36 (24.02.89) of Station Road, Finchley, was convicted of many sexual crimes.

2019 saw a Met probe launched following Ross Davidson’s arrest from his house and seizure of his personal belongings. Following further investigation, police found that Ross Davidson had stored seven films showing himself sexually abusing and raping his victims.

Following public disclosure of the details of Ross Davidson’s first arrest, police found four overall victim-survivors who came forward to describe rape, sexual assaults, voyeurism, controlling and coercive actions.

Detective Inspector Wendy Bassett led the inquiry: “This investigation has developed over many years with various victim-survivors coming forward at different points.

“Our staff has put a lot of effort into proving every occurrence, helping the victims, and getting Davidson prosecuted. We will do our best to investigate no matter when the incident happened; we treat every allegation of a sexual offence extremely seriously.

“Ross Davidson is a prolific predatory criminal devoid of any thought or consideration for the effects he has caused on the victims. This outcome makes me happy and hope it will help to provide the victims some sort of closure.

One victim-survivor told police that following an evening together in 2013 Ross Davidson sexually assaulted and raped her. Davidson videotaped on his phone all of her pleadings for him to stop, while he raped her.

Following Ross Davidson’s first arrest, authorities found recorded footage and subsequently identified the second and third victim-survivors. The various recordings revealed victims being sexually attacked in sleep.

Most recently in January 2023, the fourth victim-survivor came out under awareness of Ross Davidson’s name in the media. Working with the victim, police were able to prove she had been captured on one of the films on his phone without her permission.

Ross Davidson has been found guilty of rape, two counts of sexual assault, and voyeurism. On Friday, September 6, Wood Green Crown Court remanded him into jail prior to sentence.

The Met is listening to victim-survivors to make sure individuals have the confidence to expose these most heinous crimes and is tackling violence against women and girls.

Our new method of looking at rape is based mainly on the life of the suspect, with a focus on the victim-survivors “credibility” lessened. When a victim reports an occurrence like rape, which police know is already a very trying period for them, the victim undergoes a less intrusive process.
