Gary Stockley, a paedophile from Norris Green, has been incarcerated on his birthday after being revealed as a twisted “monster.” Gary Stockley inflicted a series of egregious sexual abuses onto a young girl.

Gary Stockley further captured disturbing images of another child on his mobile phone. The mother of one of his victims characterised him as the “lowest of the low” and the “dregs of society” as he received a hefty prison sentence on his 43rd birthday yesterday, Tuesday.

Liverpool Crown Court was informed that Gary Stockley, residing on Parthenon Drive in Norris Green, systematically sexually assaulted one of the victims beginning at the age of seven. She was repeatedly raped and sexually assaulted by him and compelled to engage in sexual actions with him.

Gareth Roberts, representing the prosecution, stated that the violence continued until a final attempted assault was prevented when she kicked him away after he had pushed her to the floor. Several years later, she denounced his reprehensible behaviour to the police after confiding in friends.

Under interview, Gary Stockley “asserted that she was lying about the allegations” and stated that he had “never had an inappropriate relationship with her”. When his phone was seized by officers, it was discovered that he had taken eight explicit photographs of a second girl when she was aged as young as five.

The pervert had meanwhile exchanged several extreme pornographic images in a WhatsApp group. One showed a woman having sex with a horse, while others depicted a female performing sexual acts with a frog and a cactus.

In a statement which was read to the court on her behalf, the complainant’s mum said that Gary Stockley’s actions were “unforgiveable” and described him as a “monster”. She added: “Her world has been shattered. As her mother, I felt hopeless when she completely broke down. I hear her cry herself to sleep at night.

“You did this to her. You caused her this pain. You are sick and the lowest of the low, the dregs of society. I am here to pick up the pieces and will not let my little girl suffer any more.”

Gary Stockley has no previous convictions. Simon Leong, defending, told the court: “He has not come before the courts before. He enjoyed a strong work ethic and was always in employment.

“It is right to say that lives have been ruined by these offences. While the least of these might be the life of Gary Stockley himself, punishment for Mr Stockley will continue long past any custodial term – impacting any future employment and social relations.

“The defendant is making good use of his time. He is currently working in laundry in the mornings and voluntarily working most afternoons, which is testament to his work ethic.

“He hopes to keep busy. Making a productive and useful contribution to prison life is going to be of assistance to Mr Gary Stockley, whose mental health is supported by a regular routine.”

Gary Stockley was convicted of five counts of rape, three of attempted rape, 12 charges of sexual assault, taking indecent images of a child and making indecent images following two trials. He also admitted three offences of possession of extreme pornographic images and publishing extreme pornographic images and, appearing via video link to HMP Altcourse, was imprisoned for 22 years and handed an additional three years on licence.

Judge Ian Harris also handed him a lifelong sexual harm prevention order. A restraining order will prevent him from contacting his victims indefinitely, while he must sign the sex offenders’ register for life.
