Convicted Market Weighton Paedophile Connor Smith, deemed “dangerous,” was taken aback when a 12-year-old schoolgirl with whom he was exchanging explicit and highly sexualised internet chats was revealed to be an undercover police officer attempting to apprehend paedophiles.
Depraved predator Connor Smith had already served a seven-year prison sentence; but, upon his release, he was undeterred by the fact that the decoy girl was merely 12 years old.
Connor Smith, 43, of Eastfield Road, Market Weighton, confessed to attempting to engage in sexual communication with a minor and attempting to induce a minor to participate in sexual activity between July and August.
Connor Smith, already in detention, was sentenced to four years in prison after being designated a “dangerous” offender. He will be subject to an extended licence of five years following his release from prison.
