A Bolton paedophile Shane Fielding who sexually attacked young girls he lured via social media has been incarcerated.

Shane Fielding, 21, of Cheriton Drive, Bolton, exploited social networking applications to target girls as young as 13. Assaults occurred subsequent to meetups organised after internet discussions.

Shane Fielding admitted admission to grooming, two charges of sexual behaviour with a minor, and three charges of inducing a minor to participate in sexual activity. At Bolton Crown Court, he received a sentence of three years and two months of incarceration.

The offences were revealed following an investigation by GMP police into Shane Fielding’s communications on social networking platforms.

Authorities stated that he engaged in online conversations with girls to establish their trust before to in-person meetings. The allegations pertain to four girls aged between 13 and 15 at the time.

Detective Sergeant Lisa Clarke commended the victims for their fortitude and valour.

She stated: I urge everyone to recognise the risks associated with interacting with unfamiliar individuals on social media and for parents to remain watchful over their children’s access to technology.
