The ex-window cleaner has been convicted of sexual offences on two occasions and was incarcerated for eight months last year.
Following additional disturbing online conversations this summer with two individuals he believed to be 12 and 13 years old, but who were in fact paedophile hunters, he was confronted outside his residence in Holley Court, Rainhill on August 12.
Alan Cherry’s sex offender management also visited him after he confessed to conversing with an individual who claimed to be 13 years old.
He confessed to two charges of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a minor and one charge of attempting to violate a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).
Alan Cherry was incarcerated for a duration of three years and two months.
